Double Crochet Ripple Stitch Afghan

This Crochet Ripple Afghan blanket was easy and fun to make. This beautiful crochet pattern looks so nice on my couch or just to cuddle up with. I created a single crochet afghan tutorial a few years ago and I had so many ask how to create an afghan with double crochet so I decided to create this pattern. I uploaded crochet video to help along with this pattern. I love how it turned out.

Bobble Ripple Baby Blanket

Bobble Ripple Baby Blanket

The Bobble Ripple Baby Blanket is absolutely adorable and i can't wait for you to try it out! Years ago i made a bobble ripple baby blanket and released it on an old crochet blog but i have revamped it and made it with two strands of Stylecraft Special DK so it has now become a chunky blanket and it is so cute! I found making it chunkier the bobbles really pop and it made it even more quicker to crochet. You may recognize this stitch as i made a shawl out of it a while ago called the Bobble Ripple Shawl and this shawl has been very popular with Truly Crochet readers. The PDF paid version of this pattern features the multiples so you can crochet this blanket in whatever size you would like and in whatever weight yarn that you like!

Cuddle Up Dinosaur Blanket

Cuddle Up Dinosaur Blanket

The Cuddle Up Dinosaur Blanket features the corner to corner stitch and a roaring good time! Crochet one for your own little wild one with this crochet pattern on Moogly! With this pattern, it's all too easy to see the possibilities! Change up the colors, and you'll go from dino to Cuddle Up Dragon Blanket! Change up the spike colors, use color-changing yarn, your imagination is the limit. And it's a great accompaniment to the Cuddle Up Unicorn Blanket! I used the Corner to Corner or C2C stitch, aka the box stitch to create most of the pieces for this design. But if you're not a fan, don't fret! You can simply make the Body and Head with simple rows of double crochet, or your own chosen stitch. Just work to the dimensions for each piece given!

Little Couch Potato Siesta Blanket

This Little Couch Potato Siesta Blanket was crocheted over the course of one weekend (at a relaxed pace), with 3 cakes of Pool Party Bernat Blanket Stripes yarn. The yarn was easy to work with and except for the final row of the project I let the colors come out of the yarn cake as they were dyed. The last row I removed a small section in the dark blue in order to use the next color in the ball to complete the final 2 rows in the same color. Two separate colors over the final 2 rows did not fit with the flow of the rest of the blanket. So if you end up in a similar place after you reach row 50 consider cutting out a small section and allowing the next section to take it's place to make the blanket color flow a bit more smoothly. This was a very relaxed and simple project to crochet. I love the striped effect created by the yarn and not having to sew in a bunch of yarn ends! Great for gifts, baby showers, children, floor blankets and cuddle time! Drew's finished blanket measures 40 inches wide and 36 inches long. The stitch multiple is 2+1 so you can create this to any size you wish easily.

Ripple Afghan For Beginners

This ripple (chevron) afghan is a classic and was created specifically for beginners. My grandmother (and many others, I'm sure!) created afghans like this and this pattern was created in remembrance of her. Wrap yourself in your very own ripple throw blanket with this easy, beginner friendly pattern. You will need to know how to single crochet, double crochet and change colors. You will also need to know how to "dc3tog" (double crochet three together. Yarn over, insert hook into next stitch, yarn over, pull through stitch. Yarn over, pull through two loops on hook- two loops on hook. Repeat two more times until four loops are on hook. Yarn over, pull through all four loops.) Yarn used in this pattern is Lion Brand Pound of Love in medium (4) weight. Pattern is easy to follow once started and works up quickly.
