Reversible Baby Shell Blanket

Give the baby in your life the gift of warmth and comfort this holiday season with this snuggly crochet afghan. The Reversible Baby Shell Blanket is a crochet afghan that's two-sided. Choose any two colors and follow this free crochet pattern to create a unique double-sided blanket. This project uses a shell stitch to create a diamond pattern throughout the entire blanket. The color used on the other side can be seen inside each diamond, so whichever side you have facing outwards will show both colors.

Double Sided Afghan

"This double sided crochet blanket will have them hootin' and hollerin' about it's beauty. This is the perfect crochet baby blanket pattern! One side of the stitch looks oval shaped, while the other side has more of a starburst pattern to it. It reminds me of X's and O's. So much texture! Oh and if you're looking for a warm afghan for those cold winter nights, look no further."

Crochet blankets are always a popular choice among crocheters , be a beginner or a experienced Crocheter. The crocheted blankets are so versatile. You can combine multiple crochet stitches and make a pretty textured crochet blanket. You can easily make them as small as you want, or as large as you want. Today am sharing the pattern for this Crochet Easy Shell Stitch Blanket. I just love the texture of this stitch. This pattern is very simple to work up. This stitch is made up of double crochets and single crochets worked up in a pattern. The Crochet shell stitch looks complicated, but its just a repeat of two rows and you end up with a beautiful crochet blanket. I have used variegated yarn for the blanket. I love how the color changes and you don't have to weave off the yarn ends in case of using different color yarn at end of every row. You can use this easy Crochet shell stitch pattern to also make a Placemat Tablemat or a full sized crochet afghan blanket or a crochet throw. Glorious Springtime Blanket Crochet Pattern

"The glorious springtime blanket is another version of the new springtime soft shells crochet blanket pattern. Change up the crochet edge to create a completely different look. This pattern also uses two versions of the v stitch to achieve a beautiful look and feel. This pattern is a four-row repeat to create the luxurious crochet pattern. Each row is starts with a Chainless starting stitch. For instance, use the Chainless Double Crochet rather than a Chain 3. Use the Chainless Single Crochet rather than a Chain 1.The foundational row uses the No Chain Double Crochet rather than a chain of stitches and row of double crochet. For your convenience, here is a video on the No Chain Double Crochet Stitch. Use Stitch Markers after each four-row repeat. This will help be able to tell what row pattern you are on when you pick your work back up. There are video tutorials to help with the entire crochet pattern."

Jagged Scrap Yarn Afghan

For this project you will need: HOOK: 5 mm hook or size H hook for the US YARN: All the scrap yarn colors were worsted weight yarn 4 ply US, 10 ply AU Also the Off white color I used in between as well. I was able to get 10 rows of Off white before I had to change to a new skein. I used 2 and a 1/2 skeins of it, but I didn’t make a border. If you wish to, then I would grab a third. I didn’t want to use much of this color because it's a scrap yarn afghan and don't want you to have to go get more yarn. About the color pattern Since this pattern uses scrap yarn, I won't be telling you which colors to use. I used this color wheel to help me organize my color choices. I've never been a fan of the mixed color of scrap yarn afghans so I decided to do mine in a more organized fashion starting with my Maroons, Reds, Oranges, Browns, Yellows, Golds, Greens, Blues, Purples, Pinks and back to the beginning of the color list. Feel free to go with what feels right to you. This Jagged Scrap yarn afghan is made using a stitch I discovered while playing around with yarn. I don't know why all my discovered stitches mostly use two stitches to create and this one is no different. Lol. But other than the butterfly stitch this one is surely the most easiest one to recreate! Let me take you step by step on how to make this stitch so you can use it in making your own scrap yarn afghan to use up some of your left over wool.
