My Cancer Support Lap Blanket Crochet Patterns are a way for you to show your loved ones that you are thinking of them, through a trying time. Two versions of the design are available, Mulitcoloured Motifs or One-piece (separate free pattern).

Grandma's Lap Blanket

This blanket is crocheted using the Trinity Stitch and the finished fabric does not have any large spaces or holes. Grandma’s Textured Lap Blanket is warm, soft and sized to fit a lap comfortably.The finished blanket used 2 balls of Caron Big Cakes and a 5 mm (H) hook. The finished size is approximately 29 inches by 39 inches.

You can substitute any yarn and hook for this stitch pattern - just remember when you substitute if your gauge is different, the finished size of your project will also be different.

Flower Medley Blanket

The Flower Medley Blanket is a great scrap stash busting project. Made with several flower granny square motifs made in different colors, joined with the mattress stitch with a gorgeous yet simple 4 round flower puff stitch border. This gorgeous flower granny square motif is made with a puff stitch center which is then squared off to create a granny square. This textured hexagon pattern is a very relaxing pattern but also something new and different to try and to learn. It’s created using brioche technique which creates not only an incredible effect but a thick texture as well. 

You can work a continuous any size hexagon or join the motifs to create blanket, sweater, bag, rug. 
The pattern requires at least two contrasting colors. It’s a perfect stash busting pattern!

Relief Wave Crochet Stitch

There are many variations of wavy crocheting patterns that we often use to create children's blankets, cardigans, blouses and tops. You can learn how to crochet by the example of this one. I tested both a new wavy embossed pattern and a new yarn for myself. In the Tutorial, I started a pattern from a row of tr’s, but I think it's better to start with a row of sc’s. As you wish. Still this pattern is beautiful, if you work it in 2 rows of different colors. Change the color at the beginning of the row which is all of treble crochets. You can try to replace tr with dc, or try to change the number of tr. This pattern - interesting mathematical task. And a wonderful result for any changes! Crochet with Fun!
