Mama's Got a Brand New Bag Free Crochet Pattern

"Create this stunning triangular bag with this easier-than-you-think crochet pattern. A stitch pattern of sc and dc is easy to remember and creates a dense fabric with texture. By creatively folding a simple rectangle you magically start to form this tote. This project is perfect for keeping fingers busy while still being able to talk and watch TV. This statement bag measures 16” wide by 18” tall and makes a great tote or project bag. Made with a 4.00mm (US G) crochet hook and Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton yarn in two colors. Two skeins of each color are needed."

Brave Felted Tote Bag

This is a super simple project of single crochet in the round. The bag has a flat bottom which makes it super functional for so many purposes! It begins at the base, and is worked in one continuous piece from base to handles - no sewing! Use it for a craft project bag, a special gift bag, or a decorative storage container. It would make a great market bag - and if you line it, you could totally rock it as a purse, too! Stripes, color blocking or monochromatic in one color, use 3 balls of Be So Brave Yarn in any combination that appeals to you, or your gift recipient.

On the Bias Tote Bag

I named this crochet bag pattern the On the Bias Tote Bag, not because of how I worked the design (it's worked in rows), but because of how it appears after it's folded and seamed. The finished bag looks like it was worked on the bias, but the rectangle of the bag is constructed by working back and forth in simple rows. The combination of Lion Brand Yarn’s 24/7 cotton and simple crochet stitches give this crochet market bag its classic appeal. And the addition of a simple macrame pattern at each end of the strap, along with the wooden beads, give it a fun, boho vibe.
