Gauge is not important for this project and the shawl can be made in any weight yarn! If you want to use fingering weight yarn like I used for this pattern, you will need approx 800 - 1000m. Have fun with colours (leftovers from your stash?) and stripes, or use a gradient yarn cake for this lovely easy crochet shawl pattern. You can use a worsted weight yarn for a winter shawl or a light weight yarn for a delicate summer shawl. Add a fringe or some tassels for extra flair!
