Trying out my hand at designing a crochet Asymmetrical shawl. I've made several Butterfly Shawls designs and wanted to try something new. I really like the way you can wear these Asymmetrical shawls, it's reminds me something between a cowl and a regular shawl the way I've seen it worn. I found the perfect stitch that looks great from both sides. Me and my husband actually like the way the back of the stitch looks better than the front side of the stitch. Which for us makes this a double sided Asymmetrical shawl! I'll let you decide. I really hope you enjoy this Asymmetrical shawl as much as I did making it. Any Season Shawl

This Any Season Shawl is an easy asymmetrical crochet shawlette made from just one skein of yarn. If you are looking for a shawl in a ball pattern, here is one to add to your crochet pattern library. Today I used one skein of Lion Brand Shawl in a Ball Restful Rainbow. This pattern starts off with an initial 12 rows of crochet. After that, rows 9-12 are repeated until the desired length and width is reached or the skein of yarn is gone. This is an asymmetrical shawl; therefore, the increase is only done on one side of the shawl. Couple the beautiful skein of yarn with an easy crochet pattern. The rainbow of colors in this shawl make it the perfect accessory for any number of fashion styles. It is great worn with weekend wear, going out to dinner with family and friends, and work.

Summer Shawlette

"The Summer Shawlette is a lightweight, triangle ‘mini-shawl’; perfect for pairing with a crisp white shirt. The zig-zag stitch pattern adds a modern twist to a traditional lace crochet shawl. The shawlette (or shawl, depending on how large you want to make it!) is crocheted from the centre outwards. The zig-zag effect is achieved by alternating dcs and scs in between the open chains. I love how the shawl has a really sophisticated finish, but requires only simple stitches – chain, single crochet and double crochet, that’s it!"Summer Shawlette

"The Serendipity Asymmetrical Shawl features a beautiful skein of yarn that is paired with an easy crochet stitch. If you have one of those cakes of yarn that has just over 1,000 yards, this will be a perfect crochet pattern to use. This asymmetrical shawl is worked on the bias where one side continues to grow while the other side stays straight. If you are an advanced beginner, I think that you would have no problem mastering this lovely crochet pattern. St. Paddy’s Day will soon be upon us and I wish everyone good luck in this New Year. This will be a perfect accessory showing off your green side. When thinking about naming this Shawl, Serendipity landed at the top of the list. It is the unplanned good luck some people have. This just seemed to fit together."Serendipity Asymmetrical Shawl
