This is a fun square with a braided circle added at the end to represent the circle of life. Lots of lace and texture to make it interesting in combination with others or on its own for an afghan or bedspread, but if you aren't feeling inspired for such a large project, try two of them together to make a throw pillow or line them for a really cool tote bag!! Designed in worsted weight yarn

The Barcelona Square is a pretty square that takes on a different look when worked in 1, 2 or 3 colors. Work this square in 1 color, and it's all about the texture; work it in 2 and watch the center motif pop up or use 3 colors for a color blocked, bold look! This square would be great in combination with others for an afghan or bedspread, but if you aren't feeling inspired for such a large project, try two of them together to make a throw pillow or tote bag! Designed in worsted weight yarn

Though a little time consuming, pixel art projects are so fun! I think I like most that it kind of resembles a quilt, but also that it uses my favorite join-as-you method - the Pull Loop Through Method! Makes for an easy join, and no worrying about how to assemble later - can't say I enjoy sewing squares together. BUT! If you do, you could always make the squares separately, and then use the mattress stitch (or your preferred technique) to join them later. WHAT CAN YOU DO WITH THIS SQUARE? It's the perfect size for a 16 throw pillow, use it as an afghan square, and build a blanket, add more squares all around to make a larger blanket, use it as a doily, attach it to a dowel rod, and hang it, use it as the star of the show for a sweater/top, even changing up the weight of yarn used will open doors!

The English Garden Afghan Square is a crochet granny square that features rows of unique stitches and bright, vivid colors. This crochet square would make a perfect accent square in a crochet granny square afghan, and would look great in any color.
From the Designer: "This square is gorgeous! It has a decidedly geometrically organized look, like a formal english garden and the color combinations just speak of the blooms in a garden. Of course you can make it in as many or few colors as you like since the square also has nice texture. Pair it with simple solid squares for a truly elegant throw.
