Braided Cables Square

"Braided Cables Square is a great project for those who would like to dip their toes in the world of Tunisian crochet cables. The repetitive pattern allows for sufficient practise of the technique creating a beautiful texture reminiscent of braided hairstyles. The Cables Square is worked flat, RS facing from right to left. The stitch count refers to the number of lps on hook on FP. There are 3 cable st patterns running in parallel with sts being crossed in the same row every 2nd row. Work tks sts in rows where sts cross over slightly looser otherwise the cables will look flat and stretched. "Braided Cables Square

Easy Weekend Crochet Afghan

Yes, it is possible to make this easy weekend crochet afghan in just two days. Pair this soft, bulky yarn with a large crochet hook and you are all set to start and finish this pattern in the same weekend. Double Crochet V-Stitch. Normally, the V-Stitch has a chain 1 or 2 in the middle. Since this yarn is bulky, I opted not to work any chain stitched between the two double crochet stitches that make up the V-Stitch. While the yarn is bulky, the blanket itself is not thick. The larger crochet hook paired with the open and lacy stitch makes an afghan with a gorgeous drape that has a soft and squishy feel too.Easy Weekend Crochet Afghan

Easy Weekend Baby Blanket

The Easy Weekend Baby Blanket uses super bulky yarn and a size Q crochet hook to work up this project easily in a weekend. The body of the blanket is worked in the crunch stitch, which is a combination of half double crochet and slip sts. The simple border is made up of only single crochet, so even someone new to crocheting can create this simple blanket. Uses Big Twist yarn and makes a great baby shower gift.Easy Weekend Baby Blanket
