Hello, sunshine! This precious Rainbow Sunshine Lovey Blanket is perfect for any little baby. This bright, multicolored blanket will look great in any nursery room. The lovey is a popular style of baby blankets that is a bit smaller than your typical crochet baby blanket, and it sometimes also has a little object attached to it (often times an animal such as an elephant, puppy dog, lamb, etc). This one has a smiling sunshine that is sure to bring a smile to anyone's face - both babies and adults.

Stitch Away Stress Lemon Blanket Square

Warm Up America! is a charity which accepts blanket squares or "sections" that volunteers seam together into blankets. Crochet this lemon section to donate! Each April, the Craft Yarn Council in conjunction with Warm Up America! invites you to Stitch Away Stress. Crochet, as you know, is such a wonderfully soothing activity. Lemons have become the emblem for this promotion because the first pattern designed for Stitch Away Stress was a cute lemon stress ball! This cheery motif is wonderful for lemon lovers to work up year-round. Section together your own beautiful lemon afghan, or donate these sections to a wonderful cause.

Modern Double Crochet V-Stitch Chunky Blanket

This modern double crochet v-stitch chunky blanket is a wedding gift. I have had this Caron One Pound yarn in my stash for a while now. Thought it was time to get something made with it. The blanket had to be large enough to cover a queen sized bed. As you can see from the photo, it is large enough. Not too large though so that one or two people can snuggle under it. Additionally, this had to be warm enough to be the go-to blanket on our cold winter nights. Using two strands of yarn makes this a fun and chunky blanket. It also makes for a very warm blanket. I will miss having this cover me up while crocheting when it is below zero here this week. Brrrr. The double crochet stitch is a quick stitch to master and once the pattern is started, there is really little need to count. For me, this makes for a great crochet pattern to work on while watching movies. I think this is a great beginner stitch once you have mastered the double crochet stitch. It is always easy to see where you need to insert your hook in the previous row.Modern Double Crochet V-Stitch Chunky Blanket
