Blessings Ombre Shawl

Shawls and Wraps

The yarn I used is called Caron Simply Soft in Gold Ombre. I love the flow of the shades of gold and orange. It reminds me of a goldfish with the reflection from the water shimmering on it. I put the skill for this pattern at easy because it is basically rows of repeat with increases. And I think you will find that it stitches up pretty fast.

Ombre Shawl

Shawls and Wraps

Varying widths of off white, grey and black come together to work up this Ombre Shawl, producing a gorgeous blend of color. As the designer says, "this is definitely not your granny’s shawl! The gorgeous stitch texture and modern striping help this shawl pair just as easily with your favorite pair of jeans as it does over a little black dress, and it can be easily customized to any size you like." This shawl is perfect for summer nights, when the temperatures drop without the sun, and can easily be worn into the fall as a light layering piece. If neutral shades aren't your style, work this crochet shawl up with shades of your favorite color, or mix and match hues to create a shawl that's uniquely you.

Today's free crochet pattern is the Eleanor Asymmetrical Shawl, this crochet pattern is a very open lace design, it is basically made up of mesh which mainly involves using chain and sc stitches. Once you get to the repeat of this pattern it is very easy to get in to! Last week i released the Eleanor Triangle Shawl which you can find here! This is basically the sister shawl of that one just in a different shape, both are very open and lacy and perfect for the summer with their open mesh design, both very versatile as you can wear them draped over the shoulders or wear them like you would a scarf.

The easiest crochet triangle shawl ever! Learn how to crochet a beginner triangle shawl using only double crochet stitches. Gauge is not important for this project and the shawl can be made in any weight yarn! If you want to use fingering weight yarn like I used for this pattern, you will need approx 800 - 1000m. Have fun with colours (leftovers from your stash?) and stripes, or use a gradient yarn cake for this lovely easy crochet shawl pattern. You can use a worsted weight yarn for a winter shawl or a light weight yarn for a delicate summer shawl. Add a fringe or some tassels for extra flair! Measurements Shawl pictured measures 75in 190cm on the longest length and 39in 99cm depth after a light blocking

Windsurfer Shawl

This summer night shawl uses bands with two alternating color gradients to achieve a shimmering, alternating pattern. In particular, I love the visible spectrum and earth-tone combination.

Ombre Crescent Moon Shawl

Shawls and Wraps

This ombre crescent moon shawl is a semi-circular shawl that uses the double crochet stitch and a number two fine yarn to achieve this beautiful, classy accessory. Crocheting with Thread-Like Yarn For years, I was a bit nervous to try using the fine yarn for crochet projects. However, there are just so many gorgeous yarns available now. I had purchased several cakes of yarn in different colors a few months ago. Rather than being a triangle or asymmetrical shawl as I have done in the past, it worked in a semi-circular design. The colors along with the flowy drape make this shawl look very classy. This is an easy crochet pattern to work with lovely results.
