This blanket consists of 5 different black and white designs. Making 4 of each square. When I started making this blanket, there was no end plan in mind. Once I got the hang of crocheting a granny square, I just started pairing the black and white in different styles. I love how they turned out.

"The Percy Pig baby blanket has been on my list for a while to do and i really love how the pattern has turned out with all those cute little piggy faces! It did take some time trying to get the ears and the nose right though mind you but after changing it a couple of times i am actually really happy how this turned out even though it ended up a lot bigger then what i originally planned! For this crochet filet blanket pattern i used Paintbox Yarns Simply Aran for the main part of the blanket in the color Paper White, this is a filet crochet blanket pattern meaning the crochet pattern is worked in double crochet stitches and chain spaces to create a design like this, this is quite an easy pattern to follow and i have added an extra bonus in the paid pattern that will make it much quicker to work up instead of reading the pattern line by line."

Tulip Stitch Afghan Square

This lovely Tulip Stitch Afghan Square is available as a free crochet pattern in 5 different sizes. A photo tutorial is also available to show you how to crochet this stitch pattern. This version of the Tulip Stitch pattern is worked in double crochet stitches, rather than single crochet stitches. The pattern works up quickly and creates a pretty finished square. This will also work for blankets and other items. If you'd like to make a pretty and feminine hat with this stitch, I have also created a free pattern in 11 sizes using the Tulip Stitch. Blooming Granny Square Baby Afghan

Several years ago I hosted a crochet-along for a stitch sampler blanket and one of the squares was the Blooming Granny Square. In the CAL we did small squares as the learning swatch size. Well, one of my contactors loved the look of the small blooming granny square so she made several, seamed them together then added the same border we used for the stitch sampler blanket to her new blanket and voila!
