Crab at Beach Graphghan

This free crochet pattern comes in graph form. There are no written instructions. The design features an adorable crab playing happily at the beach. If you're unfamiliar with crochet a graph you can find two articles within this blog post that go into more details about three different ways that a graph can be crocheted- HDC, Bobble, and c2c. If using the c2c method this graph will work up to a pretty good sized medium or throw sized blanket.

It's modern, unisex, and features a unique border you'll want to apply to future projects too! I really enjoyed making this blanket - and coming up with a border design that would compliment the 3D aspect of the bobbles, without distracting from them - and I think I've hit the mark! Ruffle Baby Blanket

Today's free crochet pattern is this adorable ruffle baby blanket, oh my goodness this is the cutest thing ever and it is so easy to do! I have to be honest though those ruffles took a little longer than what i expected BUT it is still very quick to do... I am clearly just impatient haha! The ruffle baby blanket is done by crocheting the base of the blanket which is just made up of double crochet stitches and then adding the ruffles which is super simple! All you need to know is how to work in the back loop of stitches on row 5 as when you do this you leave the front loop exposed and this is where you join your yarn to make the ruffle.
