Argyle Purse

The Argyle Purse takes tapestry crochet to a whole other level by starting with a faux leather base. There is a link that will take you to a full tutorial complete with pictures to simplify the base creating process. Basic Red Heart solids yarn was used with stunning results to create this purse. The instructions are a full written tutorial as opposed to a graph, so everything is broken down to a step by step process. The goal with this pattern was to take what looks to be a more challenging project, and create directions that simplify the process so that anyone can do it.

Crochet Pattern Small Bag

While this very simple crochet pattern small bag is a joy to make, the uses seem to be endless. This is a yarn stash buster pattern. At under an hour to make, it is a quick crochet project.Initially, my goal was to make a shower melt holder. My friend gave me some amazing shower melts with a mesh bag. I took one look at that and said to myself; I can crochet a pretty and mini bag holder for my shower. The search was one for a cut little pouch. While there are a variety of drawstring bag patterns on the web, what I had in my mind was not to be found. Therefore, I kept trying until I achieved the look and size that was right for this.Once the little pouch was made, it also became apparent that it could be used for so many other purposes.

Cast Iron Skillet Handle Cover

If you know my husband, you know he's estate sale shopper. He loves a good deal and tops on his collection list are old cast iron skillets. He loves to bring them home, lovingly work off any rust spots and clean them to perfection. He also loves to cook with them. When the cast iron gets hot, the whole thing gets hot, including the handle. Rather than grabbing the skillet with a potholder, I thought I could probably make something better. And so I designed a cast iron skillet handle cover and I'm sharing the pattern here with you. Just in case you want to keep your husband from burning himself.
