Harvest Pocket Shawl

Pockets on a shawl? What a wonderful idea. This easy pocket shawl is warm and cozy and very easy to crochet. Every once in awhile I ask the crochet community on Facebook and Instagram to tell me what they want to see me design. A crochet pocket shawl was mentioned several times. I just loved the stitch combination used for the Woodland Hooded Scarf, so I decided to use the same stitch combination on this easy pocket shawl. Both the ribbing and the moss stitch is easy for beginners to learn and make a stunning look when used together.

Blessed Three Star Coaster

Blessed Three Star Coaster is a great first project to learn Tunisian crochet in the round technique using double ended hook. It works up fast, which makes it a great last minute gift idea and perfect stash-busting option. The best results are achieved by selecting similar colours. The Blessed Three Star Coaster is worked in the round, with FP worked facing RS and RP facing WS. Each round is worked in smaller increments with adding as many lps on the hook as possible (FP), turning the work around and working the lps off to last 3 lps (RP) from the opposite side of the hook. It is crucial to use a stitch marker to mark 1st st of each rnd and move it up with each consecutive rnd. The st count refers to the number of lps per round.

This particular pattern is best for intermediate crocheters since it is crocheted in rounds from the bottom up and uses the crocodile stitch. C2c Two Enamored Hearts Washcloth

This corner to corner pattern is worked in half double crochets, which allows for less space between each square which makes for a sturdier, more functional washcloth, but you still get the great texture of the corner to corner stitch pattern, and ease in creating the graphic. I used Lily Sugar n Cream and Crafters Secret Cotton for my samples, but Bernat Handicrafter and Paintbox Yarns Aran Cotton are good alternatives. I worked the small one up in just under 1.5 hours, and the large up in 1.75 hours.
