Quick and Easy Crochet Blanket

You can't ask for a better easy crochet pattern than this Quick and Easy Crochet Blanket. Crochet blankets make great handmade gifts, and this pattern is so easy to make. It takes about six hours, which would be the perfect Sunday afternoon crochet project. You can make it in any color you wish, and the homespun yarn is warm and cuddly, exactly as a blanket should be. If you leave the edge tasseled, the blanket also has a nice fringed look. The finished product is delightfully big, so get ready to cocoon down into your new favorite cold-weather companion.

Magical Wave Stitch Crochet Lapghan

I decided to use this stunning and yummy Red Heart Super Saver “Retro Stripes” to revamp my Optical Illusion Baby Blanket. I LOVE my first version… but not everyone wants to change colors THAT many times!!! The Red Heart Stripes worked up beautifully with this design… and with minimal yarn ends to weave in! The entire process of making this blanket was exciting. The color changes are different and unique with each square, preventing me from getting jaded."

Cross-Over Block Stitch Baby Blanket Crochet Pattern

One of my favorite crochet projects to work on is the humble and sweet baby blanket. Not only are baby blankets adorable, they're also super quick and easy to make. Also, they mean the world to the parents who receive your beautiful gift and will likely treasure it for years to come. This Cross-Over stitch blanket is super easy to make and like many of my patterns, once you get started, you can practically make it with your eyes closed.

Lavender Throw

In selecting the colours for this throw, I used these lavender bushes as my inspiration. The Lavender Throw is worked (as one piece) in blocks of differing shade of purple, which are further accented by a fisherman's white. It is made with a worsted weight yarn, a great weight for the changing seasons. It is constructed with the moss stitch, a series of single crochet and chain stitches. The bold blocks of colour make for endless colour combinations.

Magnolia, A Lace "Granny" Square Pattern

It's easy to crochet a beautiful, lace "granny" square afghan with this flower-inspired crochet pattern! Post stitches create the outline of a Magnolia blossom in the center of the square, while clusters and puffs create a lacy border. Granny squares can be used to crochet your own unique blanket, and they are quick and easy projects that you can take anywhere in your project bag. The Magnolia square will give you a warm, but lacy looking afghan when you sew it together, and with a lace boarder it will have a vintage/heirloom feel.

Round Stained Glass Afghan

This Round Stained Glass Afghan is an easy crochet afghan to make and will look great draped over your bed. The stunning pattern truly resembles a stained glass window, just like one you would see at church. If you've never made a round crochet afghan before, this is a great pattern to start with. Red Heart Super Saver yarn is used to work up this free crochet afghan pattern. It measures approximately 76 inches in diameter when complete.
