Darla Shawl

When looking for a stitch for my next shawl i was going with something a little more plainer in mind, i just find sometimes a really plain stitch like the one i used for this pattern can still look really beautiful without all the fanciness. This stitch pattern has vertical stripes using double crochet stitches with chain spaces in between and i think it gives it more of an elegant kind of feel. When i started working this rectangle shawl it was such an easy one to get into where there wasn't a lot of thinking involved but the results still came out beautiful and was worked up quickly.

Heritage Beanie Free Crochet Pattern

This is one of my most popular hat patterns and great to make for gifts and markets. It has a beautiful texture that works up quickly. I used Tuff Puff yarn from Knit Picks/We Crochet and love how soft and cozy it is. These work up so fast you will be amazed. I made several because I loved it so much in this yarn: Bark, Jelly, Snickerdoodle and Celestial. I LOVE THEM ALL! Thanks to the We Crochet team for sending me such bright and fabulous cozy yarn to make these! "

Peaceful Hat

This slouch hat pattern is worked from the bottom up in one piece. First we create the hat band and then we work across the row ends of the band to create the body of the hat. The hat body is crocheted in joined rows and we turn at the end of every row to create the stitch pattern. This project uses Red Heart Super Saver Yarn in a solid color; you can alternately change colors, or use a variegated yarn instead. The gauge is provided separately for the hat band and the hat body.
