Alpine Scarf

I have described this scarf as a men's scarf because I find it so difficult to find crochet patterns suitable for men. However, it is really a unisex scarf as you can mix and match the colours to suit personalities. The lovely texture comes from Alpine stitch, which once you have laid the foundations, it a great stitch to chill out with and you will find this scarf grows while your mind wanders. If you chose to only use one shade of grey, you will need one and a half to two balls, rather than the one listed in the pattern.

Buttoned Plaid Cowl

This warm and comfortable crochet cowl will be a handy accessory to have during the cool fall months!

From the blogger: Plaid just seems to be the best pattern when you are looking for something rustic, cozy, and stylish. The Buttoned Plaid Cowl adds a nice pop of color to an outfit without being too bulky. I decided it was time to work on a project for the men in my life. This Buttoned plaid cowl is a light accessory and can easily be worn 3 different ways. Follow the graphs to help understand the color changes for the plaid design.

Ragged Falls Poncho

This time of year is tough in Northern Ontario. The mornings are below freezing, but the afternoons warm up nicely, although there is still a definite chill to the wind. Perfect poncho weather! You can slip it easily over your head, they are cinch to layer over clothing, and everyone loves the way they fan out when you twirl. Who can argue with that?! Please note that all my patterns are written in standard American terms.

Sarah Scarf

The Sarah Scarf is named after my mother and it reflects her personality so well, simple but beautiful! This is a one skein project that can be made in 3 different lengths. It works up quickly and a beginner can do it! The Sarah Scarf is perfect for gifts or to sell! I used Hobby Lobby I love this yarn for this project. To make the long infinity style takes exactly 1 skein. To make it shorter takes less than a skein. I love how soft and warm this yarn is! It is my go-to yarn for hats, scarves, and blankets. It's a worsted (#4) weight yarn that is 100% acrylic.

Seaglass Summer Cardi

The Seaglass Summer Cardi is a simple beach or swimsuit cover-up - that is just as beautiful back on solid land! When I began designing the Seaglass Summer Cardi, I was thinking exclusively in terms of a swimsuit coverup. But by the time it was done, I knew I wanted to wear it everywhere! It's still great for the pool though - even after I soaked it, it dried super fast! The Seaglass Summer Cardi is truly one size fits all. It fits up to a 68” bust - and stretches too! Made with just 2 cakes of Red Heart It's a Wrap Rainbow, it's simple enough to be your first garment if you haven't made one before!

Willow Cardigan

This is a raglan style cardigan which means it is worked from the top down all in one piece. The sleeves are added at the end. I only added one button to the top of the cardi but it would be super easy to add more. Luckily, the buttons fit through the holes created by the edging. Bonus! The Willow Cardigan should fit with a positive ease of 1-3 inches. This means it should be 1-3 inches larger than the chest of the child you are making it for.

You can make this super trendy summer wrap using a combination of the single crochet, the half double crochet and the double crochet stitch. I have easy written instructions on how to create the sedge stitch using these stitches. For those new to crochet, there are many videos on youtube that will demonstrate the sedge stitch. So here we go, good luck.
