Cross Stitch Make-Up Bag / Pouch

I've been wanting to try cross stitching on crocheted fabric for a while now. I also thought that maybe you did too so I designed a small project for us to try it out on, a cross stitch make-up bag. This small zippered pouch is perfect for many different uses, but I plan to use it as my new make-up bag. The pattern includes a photo tutorial for adding a zipper to your crochet projects and for the cross stitching.

Dutch Skies Potholders

These potholders are easily styled for each kitchen decor! As they are large and supple (about 19 cm or 7,5in diameter) there's surely enough surface to keep your hand from burning while baking your delicious food. I would recommend cotton for the potholders, as it is easily to wash and and heat-resistant. In this pattern I used Phildar Phil Coton 3, but any other cotton will do! I used 5 different colours (4 for the body and 1 for the edging) but again, this is completely up to your imagination! Enjoy, and make some potholders! And when youre done, make some more! Because you can never ever have to many potholders, right? ps. They make an amazing house-warming gift!

Buffalo Plaid Wristlet

If you're looking for a fun project that is quick to make, yet makes a fashion statement, look no further. Introducing the Buffalo Plaid Wristlet. Not too long ago, I stopped in my favorite coffee shop when inspiration struck! I saw a woman come in with a wristlet and I remembered everything I love about the lowly wristlet. It is small. It's convenient. It says ‘I'm busy, I'm important, and I'm stylish'. And right then, I knew I was going to design a buffalo plaid wristlet and use amazing purse hardware. It's what gives this wristlet her sassy edge, don't you think? Let's spice up the winter wardrobe this year!Buffalo Plaid Wristlet

Moroccan Plastic Grocery Bag Holder

It's that time of year again! The snow is melting (albeit more slowly than I'd like), the birds are starting to sing again, and the days are getting longer. All of these signs also mean that it's time for spring cleaning! Time to clean up and organize the clutter that's accumulated during the long winter months. There's one particular space that I'm constantly having to de-clutter… the pantry. More specifically, the mountains of plastic grocery bags that seem to multiply on their own. The Moroccan Grocery Bag Holder is the perfect crochet solution!

Hazel's Market Bag

Hazel's Market Bag came to me because I was in need of a simple bag that would carry a lot of stuff, but that wouldn't just be a gigantic bag if it were mostly empty. This bag sort of stretches to carry what is needed, but then springs back when not weighed down. I love it and I have many of them around the house. We use them for the farmer's market buys, library books, and as church bags. I've made many for gifts, and sold even more.Hazel's Market Bag

Feeling Flirty Lacy Shell Shawl Crochet Pattern

This feeling flirty lacy shell shawl is so light and delicate. Work this crochet pattern from the bottom up. Start with one shell and continue adding a shell to each side as you work up. Since this is made from a yarn cake that has beautiful, variegated colors throughout, there were just two yarn ends to weave in at the end. This lacy shell stitch is achieved by repeating two rows throughout this pattern. One row consists of chain and single crochet stitches. The next row is where the shell is made by working a double crochet in the same stitch five times. I have included photos of the first few rows to help with understanding the pattern. Additionally, there are video tutorials for both left and right hand crocheters. Lastly, there is a chart detailing the row being worked and number of shell stitches per row.
