Ferne Shawl
The Ferne shawl that has been carefully designed using a soft merino wool to give it a light feel but also covers you up for cooler evenings. Truly a versatile piece for any wardrobe. This pattern has been written for DK weight yarn but it is that versatile that it can be done using any weight yarn. The wool i used for this pattern is King Cole Luxury Merino DK it is made from 100% Merino wool and it is lovely and soft and comes in a great range of colors.
Azul V Mesh Poncho
This beautiful ombre poncho is sure to compliment a variety of casual outfits. The pattern is super simple as it's created with two rectangles that are seamed together. Because it's not as long as a typical poncho, it's comfortable and practical for everyday wear and serves the same purpose as a wrap. It's also light and easy to tote around or pack in a suitcase for vacation! Since it's made entirely with the v-stitch, the pattern makes for a perfect project to throw in your beach bag or crochet while watching your fave shows. Using a slightly larger crochet hook than what is typically used for worsted weight yarn lends to the open “meshy” feel of the poncho. Materials Murky Depths Deep Sock yarn (80% superwash Merino wool/20% nylon, 3.5 oz/100 g, 400 yd/366 m) - 1 skein each in Scion (CA) and The Brothers Grimm (CB), or approximately 400 yd (366 m) each in CA and CB in any super fine weight yarn. US H-8/5 mm crochet hook, or any size needed to obtain pleasing drape. Yarn needle. Clover Quick Locking Stitch Marker Set, or locking stitch markers. Spray blocking supplies (pins, blocking board or mat, and spray bottle with cold water). Gauge Exact gauge is not critical for this project. Use a crochet hook that is several sizes larger than what is recommended for your yarn to create a pleasing drape.
