Katie Baby Blanket

The Katie Baby Blanket is a beautiful and dainty blanket project that will make a lovely gift for a new baby! I used Paintbox Yarns Simply DK yarn in the colorway Ballet Pink to create the baby blanket. This yarn is one of my favorite DK (#3) weight yarns. The crochet pattern is rated Easy in pattern difficulty. This baby blanket pattern uses basic stitch combos to create this light lacy look to it! The blanket measures 32" x 32", but the pattern also comes with multiples to adjust the sizing.

Ice Flower Square

Small (5 inch) granny square using a simple technique to gain a raised petal effect. Worked in caron simply soft and 5 mm crochet hook, you can quickly crochet several squares to make a cozy blanket. The raised/puffed petals and leaves give the square a lovely tactile effect and the green colour means that these squares are perfect for spring afghan after all the heavy colours of winter. I gave the square the name ice flower because it reminds me of the brave young flowers shooting up at this time of year.

Bobble Stroller Blanket

There are tons and tons of patterns for crib-sized blankets and receiving blankets, but I haven't seen many that are small stroller blankets. I wanted to make this Bobble Stroller Blanket for my cousin, and she's always on the go. She needed something small enough to grab and go, but that would still be big enough for her baby to use. This blanket is just the right size for taking with you, and unlike a lovey, it can actually be used as a blanket. Let's get into how to make this free crochet baby blanket pattern!
