Aqua Polka Dots Baby Blanket

This super simple crocheted baby blanket comes in three sizes lovey, baby blanket and afghan, allowing you to produce the size you want. This Aqua Polka Dots Baby Blanket is worked in single, double and treble crochet, making it easy for a beginner to crochet. One suggestion by the designer is to learn how to crochet the bobble stitch before attempting this pattern. The frilly border makes it a feminine design, but this blanket can be made for both boys and girls.

Paw Print Blanket

This Paw Print Blanket is a really special project for me. I wanted to make something special for our sweet girl Ashley, who turned 9 on the 23rd of February. Since she loves animals (dogs especially), I decided to design a corner-to-corner (c2c) Paw Print Blanket. I thought it would be fun to make four separate c2c graphs to spell the word "love" and to replace the "o" with a paw print. I then decided on some really fun yarn colors that I thought Ashley would love. I decided on Red Heart Super Saver in Turqua, Pretty-n-Pink, Freshmint and Amethyst.

Easy Weekend Crochet Afghan

Yes, it is possible to make this easy weekend crochet afghan in just two days. Pair this soft, bulky yarn with a large crochet hook and you are all set to start and finish this pattern in the same weekend. Double Crochet V-Stitch. Normally, the V-Stitch has a chain 1 or 2 in the middle. Since this yarn is bulky, I opted not to work any chain stitched between the two double crochet stitches that make up the V-Stitch. While the yarn is bulky, the blanket itself is not thick. The larger crochet hook paired with the open and lacy stitch makes an afghan with a gorgeous drape that has a soft and squishy feel too.

Happy Lark Scrap Blanket

Sigh. There's something about a crochet scrap blanket that I just love. Taking bits and pieces of yarn leftover from other projects and crocheting them into something beautiful just makes my heart sing. A New Year awaits. Full of possibility. It's time to cleanse my life of the baggage and extra things to make my journey into the new year light and free. And even though these bits of string don't seem like much, sometimes they speak of unfinished business. Maybe they hold me back. Or maybe it's something completely different: like they beckon me to a far off adventure! This year we're making another crochet scrap blanket together! I'm so excited!

Dude Blanket

When I started the Dude Collection I knew I wanted to include a blanket. The Dude Blanket is simple, durable, and not too frilly, just like most guys like things. I used Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Yarn, but any soft worsted weight yarn will be great for this project! This is one of those projects that is mindless and easy to work on when watching TV or chatting with friends. You and the special “dude” in your life will love it! The Dude Blanket can be made in any color combination you like or make it solid! You can also change the size of the blanket by working in multiples of 2+1.
