Chevron Flare Blanket Crochet Pattern

This is the perfect blanket to throw over a bedspread to add warmth to your room. You can also use it for a picnic, an accent for your sofa, or something to snuggle up under while reading a good book. This pattern is one piece worked flat from the bottom up. The amount of yarn you're going to use depends on the size of blanket you'd like to make. Choose from a baby blanket that requires about two skeins of yarn all the way up to a king, which requires twenty skeins.

My Dolphin Blanket with Hoodie

My Dolphin Blanket is another one that was completed in my Animal Series of Blankets (check out my blog for some cute animal Blankets). This blanket was made specifically for a girl, that's a tween. It measures 39" wide and 50" from top of the hoodie to the bottom. I used Bernat Blanket Yarn in Country Blue. It has a button at the neck to wear as a cape. The side fins can be used as gloves. And, of course, it folds up, slips under the hoodie and becomes a pillow. I love, love versatility!!!!

HBC Grey-Scale Inspired Blanket

The Hudson's Bay Company was founded in Canada in the 1600's and still endures today. With its iconic colours (and its more modern, turn of the new millennium, grey-scale) it's "stripe spotting" branding is known worldwide. For my blanket I opted to use the grey-scale as it fits nicely with the colour scheme I plan to use in my little boys room. The pattern would also look wonderful in the vintage HBC colours! Give it a go!!! If you make one please share a picture; I would love to see it!

I hope you love it as much as Mark does! You'll need an I/5.5mm crochet hook and worsted weight yarn in gray, two shades of green, a tiny bit of black and orange.
