Dahlia Shawl

For the Dahlia Shawl / Scarf, I've combined several simple crochet stitches that add both a nice texture and drape. The size is easily customizable so you can crochet it and wear it as a shawl or triangular scarf. For this triangular crochet shawl, I chose Lion Brand Yarns Turnstyles, a self-striping, bulky mohair-look yarn, and all of the colorwork was done for me which made this a perfect crochet project for binge watching my favorite TV shows.

Milkweed Leaf Shawl

This particular design reminds me of a butterfly. And when I was young we would give our caterpillars milkweed to eat so they could eventually emerge from their cocoons to be beautiful butterflies. The hexagonal motif shawls are unique in their design and style. They are perfect for outdoor events like weddings or festivals where you might want to keep yourself warm with your gorgeous wrap while still having easy access to your phone and camera.

Inspiration comes from all places. For me I am constantly inspired by color, texture and shape. It is so incredibly special when those 3 inspirations come together for a design that pops, is beautiful, easy to make, and just a delight to wear. This Galway Shawl uses the Hedgehog yarn with its soft fiber and colors that blend and pop beautifully. You can wear this shawl as a shawl or as a comfortable scarf for the colder season.

Mariposa Shawl

Mariposa was given its name by some of the amazing artists in my local knit and crochet group because they said the shawl looks like a butterfly. I really enjoyed creating Mariposa, it's an easy and fun pattern to make and the yarn is a joy to work with. Nurturing Fibres Eco-Fusion yarn is made in South Africa, and the American distributor, Good Loops Yarn, has given me a discount code for all of you! Just look in the pattern.
