My fascination with unicorns is real, very real! When I first saw the new Red Heart Stripes in this fabulous color called Retro Stripes, I knew there would be unicorns involved. I discovered a really unique way to make some unicorn "tracks" and staggered them across the scarf. Imagine my surprise, though, when I made the fantastic pompoms. It's wonderful. This yarn makes tie-dye pompoms. As much as I love unicorns, I have to admit that the tie-dye poms are the best part!

TagsAfternoon Tea Scarf
I am loving corner to corner crochet right now and I'm especially excited about this c2c scarf pattern. I was at Michaels at few weeks ago and saw this gorgeous yarn (Caron Big Cake self striping yarn in Afternoon Tea). I wasn't sure what I was going to make out of it but I knew I had to buy it. I'm so happy I did! The scarf worked up quickly and the best part is, I only needed one skein of yarn!

Traveling Vine Crochet Cable Shawl
The vine shawl is a first ever seen of it's kind. Just like the many species of newly discovered plants, we can discover new ways to transform our yarn. While I'm still working on my green thumb as an aspiring gardener, for now I find the vines in crochet are longer lasting. This pattern uses a new cable technique called Infinity Crochet Cables. There are no holes or gaps and the cables pop on the background fabric.
Free Chunky Crochet Scarf Pattern
If you’re in need of a quick scarf that you can hook up super-fast, then this pattern is a great project for crocheters of all abilities.
Hooked up in a chunky yarn and with a fun chevron zigzag stitch pattern, it’s relatively wide scarf meaning you can wrap yourself up in it and keep that cold wind at bay. Plus, it’s finished off with some pompoms, and in my opinion, everything is better with pompoms!
