Summer is wrapping up, and I, for one, couldn't be more excited. Fall means warm soups, cozy blankets, chilly mornings, and an excuse to break out all of my favorite layers. With cooler weather on the brain, this Cute Flare Sleeve Cardigan was conceived. I wanted to create a cardigan that was a little bit different and that would be perfect for the beginning of Fall without being too heavy. Thus, this cardigan has a relaxed, boxy fit with cute, 3/4 length flare sleeves that you can throw over a tank or tee for a little extra warmth, or wear as your main outerwear layer.

Today I have a unique garment for you all, the Hudson Cardigan uses a textured stitch called the “Soft Cluster” once blocked gives a BEAUTIFUL drape and gorgeous look. I discovered this stitch when my Father in Law found a crochet stitch book in his storage room. I am sadly the only one in my family who crochets or knits, but on the bright side I was instantly given this amazing book!
"What I love about the stripes sweater is the vertical stripes running through the center of the sweater. It is so easy to make and it's beginner friendly as it makes use of simple crochet stitches. It looks great in all colour combinations. You can find the written pattern below. For this sweater pattern you will need Dk weight yarn in two complementary colors, 5.0 mm crochet hook, Tapestry needle, buttons and stitch markers. Happy crocheting! "

As most of you know I LOVE making, wearing, designing, admiring, any oversized sweater. The Kelby sweater is JUST THAT. I wanted to make an off the shoulder, slouchy sweater that works for all seasons, using a large crochet hook and velvety soft (literally!) this sweater has a beautiful open stitch drape. To say I'm obsessed would be an understatement.
