Deep Blue Sea Purse

If you dream of spending time at the beach, perhaps this Deep Blue Sea Purse will suffice for now. The beautiful striped design of this free crochet pattern reminds me of the ocean waves. The coolest thing about this purse pattern is that there are three different options for finishing it- you can make it a clutch, you can crochet a handle, or you can attach a wooden or plastic handle. It's a great accessory for any girl to have.

Deep Purse

This deep purse is quick and easy to make! Using 3 colors there is no need to cut the yarn between rows, just carry them along the side. The Cascade Yarns 128 Superwash is thick and crochets very smoothly. Each row is shaped with stitches of varying heights and increases or decreases. The purse is plenty big to carry all your goods or even to carry around your current WiP (Work in Progress). The sample is made with shades of blue, but you can make yours in any colors that make you happy!

This free crochet pattern is made entirely of granny squares that are joined together at the end. The size of this bag is just a little bit larger than a clutch and measures about 15 inches at the widest part and 9 12 inches from top of the handle to bottom of the bag. This pattern also includes instructions for lining the bag, as well.

Crochet Handbag Handles

Handbag handles can be finicky. You want to make them sturdy to avoid stretching or losing shape. Plus, you want them comfortable to sit on your shoulder or in your hand. This pattern will teach you how to crochet a handle in three different ways: braided handle, tube handle, and Tunisian handle. They're perfect as crochet handbag handles for your bag, tote, purse, and more.

My Go To Bag

Straps 26 inches long and 2 inches wide Bag 17 inches long by 15 inches wide when measured on a flat surface Handle Drop 14 inches My Go To Bag is my practical, everyday crocheted bag. I wanted a bag I could use for everything - from beach bag to book bag - a single crocheted base gives this bag extra support - the first few rounds are crocheted in double crochet and then the main bag is worked up in an easy to work granny stitch stripe pattern. I chose to make my straps slightly wider than most bags because when you fill the bag and the straps stretch, they will remain comfortable on your shoulders. If you would like to have a narrower strap, it is very easy to change the width of the strap. Simply add one extra decrease repeat of: Sc2tog, 1 sc in each of the next 2 sts, sc2tog. Ch 1, turn. 4 in place of R11 of the straps and for R80 work: 2 sc in the first st, 1 sc in each of the next 2 sts, 2 sc in the last st, ch 1, turn. 6. Have fun making this simple, attractive and practical Go To Bag! You can substitute any yarn and hook for this stitch pattern - just remember when you substitute if your gauge is different, the finished size of your project will also be different.
