Hopeful Butterfly Hat
The Hopeful Butterfly Hat was designed for the Crochet Cancer Challenge and can easily be customized to represent any cause by changing the color to match any awareness ribbon. This hat is made with 3 stripes because the Thyroid Cancer Awareness Ribbon is Purple, Teal, and Pink. I also chose to add butterflies for dual purpose: 1) the thyroid is a butterfly shaped gland at the front of your neck, so the butterflies represent the thyroid and 2) butterflies are the symbol of hope, endurance, transformation, and new beginnings.
Tunisian Crochet Headband Pattern
If you know how to crochet but have never tried Tunisian Crochet, it is super easy and fun! Tunisian crochet is the base of this charming headgear. It gives a neat knit look. The oversized flower is the icing on the cake.
Tunisian Tie-Up Crochet Headband
This tunisian headband was designed for a little extra width to ensure plenty of ear coverage and stray hair avoidance. The headband is worked in tunisian simple stitch resulting in a nicely woven and dense fabric.
Marci Tunisian Hat
"This Tunisian Crochet hat features just two stitches - the Tunisian Knit and Purl stitches! And combining these two stitches together creates the ribbing for the hat band as well. Worked from the bottom up worked flat in rows and then seamed together at the end. Hat is easily customizable to size by adjusting the beginning foundation chain. Two different options are available - make as written with decreases for a more shaped beanie style or just continue row repeats without working decreases to make a slouchy style hat! Looks great with or without a Pom Pom! Approximate finished size for the beanie style: 10” wide lying flat x 8” tall (teen/Adult small) beanie I have all the tutorials you need to get started!"
