The pattern uses three different Tunisian crochet stitches that are the Tunisian simple stitch, the Tunisian reverse stitch, and the open Tunisian puff stitch. There is a tutorial on how to crochet the open puff stitch. You will need a Tunisian hook with a wire extension to accommodate the entire blanket.
