Football Season Beanie
Originally, I made this beanie so I could wear it to my niece's flag football games, but I only recently shared the pattern for it as part of a Christmas crochet-a-long. My topic was "For Men". Instructions available from newborn through adult large. Times range from 45 minutes to two and a half hours, depending on the size. Abbreviations You'll Need to Know: SC - Single Crochet, HDC - Half Double Crochet, DC - Double Crochet.

"I have been meaning to write a Half Double Crochet (hdc) beanie pattern for some time now. You all seem to really like my Basic Beanie pattern which uses double crochet stitches so I thought you'd also like a hdc beanie pattern. I used the exact same worsted weight yarn (all hats were made from the same skein) for my samples because I wanted my measurements to be as accurate and consistent as possible. Please check your gauge before starting your own hat."
Leprechaun Top Hat
"This Leprechaun Top Hat crochet pattern is really fun and is much easier to crochet than it looks. It is worked in the round from the top down using half double crochet stitches. I love how quickly a crochet project works up when using half double crochet (hdc).
