Granny’s Hood is actually a scoodie: a scarf with an attached hood. The scarf is made with granny squares, and the hood is made with sides of 1/4 circle grannies, and granny squares down the center. Bright, happy, rainbow colors of Sugar Bush Bold yarn are used making this piece full of joy. Due to the way the scoodie is constructed, it fits many sizes. The parts of the scoodie are joined using the join-as-you-go method, so there is no seaming. If you want the scarf to be longer or shorter, just add or subtract squares from the scarf section, it's quite simple. Brighten up the white winter with Granny’s Hood!

This Hooded Pocket Shawl is a free crochet pattern and perfect for autumn days when things begin to cool down. It has a generous hood and deep pockets so it keeps you snug and warm and looks great. The Hooded Pocket Shawl is made up of one long rectangle. There are two large pockets added to either end of the shawl and a hood that is also made out of a crochet rectangle. You will use half double crochet stitches, double crochet stitches and front post and back post double crochet stitches.

Pockets on a shawl? What a wonderful idea. This easy pocket shawl is warm and cozy and very easy to crochet. Every once in awhile I ask the crochet community on Facebook and Instagram to tell me what they want to see me design. A crochet pocket shawl was mentioned several times. I just loved the stitch combination used for the Woodland Hooded Scarf, so I decided to use the same stitch combination on this easy pocket shawl. Both the ribbing and the moss stitch is easy for beginners to learn and make a stunning look when used together.
