Josephine baby blanket by willow yarns
TagsJosephine Shell Stitch Baby Blanket Free Crochet Pattern
The shell stitch is beautiful and timeless. It is one of the first techniques people learn when they take up crochet. All you need to know before you start is how to make chains, single crochets and treble crochets. Once you have mastered the stitch, you will be able to create so many beautiful items. This Josephine Shell Stitch Baby Blanket Free Crochet Pattern is quick and easy to make. It will help you create something beautiful without needing to be a master of all things crochet. It is worked in a bulky yarn with a large hook, so it can be made in a few days. You could take this version of the shell stitch and work it in rows to make a lovely textured blanket of any size. Thanks Willow Yarns for sharing this free pattern. The link for the free pattern is provided below photo. Happy crocheting.
Katie Baby Blanket
The Katie Baby Blanket is a beautiful and dainty blanket project that will make a lovely gift for a new baby! I used Paintbox Yarns Simply DK yarn in the colorway Ballet Pink to create the baby blanket. This yarn is one of my favorite DK (#3) weight yarns. The crochet pattern is rated Easy in pattern difficulty. This baby blanket pattern uses basic stitch combos to create this light lacy look to it! The blanket measures 32" x 32", but the pattern also comes with multiples to adjust the sizing.
Pink and White Baby Blanket
This Pink and White Baby Blanket will be perfect to wrap baby in. Crochet baby patterns are always great to give as baby shower gifts, too. The shells created within the design really add a fabulous look to it. Use different colored yarns for a boy or girl. Variegated yarns can be fun, too.
On the Bias Rectangular Afghan
VIDEO TUTORIAL AVAILABLE Beginners and seasoned crocheters alike will love that the On the Bias Rectangular Afghan pattern uses simple crochet stitch pattern repeats to create the textured design, making it perfect for those days when you need to sit, crochet and decompress. If working on the bias (or corner-to-corner as it's more widely known) is intimidating, no worries! I've created a video tutorial to help. Pair this crochet blanket pattern with Lion Brand Yarns Mandala or Wool Ease Cakes, self-striping yarns, and all of the colorwork is done for you making this a perfect crochet project for binge watching your favorite TV show. And I don't know about you, but my favorite part of self-striping yarns is that I'm not left with a bunch of ends to weave in!
