Tulip Stitch Afghan Square

This lovely Tulip Stitch Afghan Square is available as a free crochet pattern in 5 different sizes. A photo tutorial is also available to show you how to crochet this stitch pattern. This version of the Tulip Stitch pattern is worked in double crochet stitches, rather than single crochet stitches. The pattern works up quickly and creates a pretty finished square. This will also work for blankets and other items. If you'd like to make a pretty and feminine hat with this stitch, I have also created a free pattern in 11 sizes using the Tulip Stitch. It is linked in the post and a video tutorial is also available. The hat is worked in rounds but the video will demonstrate how the Tulips are created using a popcorn stitch - if you prefer videos. I really love this pretty and feminine stitch pattern. I hope you find the pattern and tutorial easy to follow.

Sleepy Blocks Blankie

The Sleepy Blocks Blankie is a cute and cuddly free baby blanket pattern worked up using colorful variegated yarn. The dynamic stitch pattern and bulky yarn result in an extra squishy blanket that is perfect for playtime and newborn photos. Using half double crochet stitches, this pattern results in a tight weave fabric, which reduces the risk of babies getting their little fingers stuck in the yarn. Since this pattern uses a variegated, chunky yarn and a simple 2-row repeat for a quick pattern that will fly right off the hook!
