Bobble Stripe Baby Blanket

"Enter the Bobble Stripe Blanket! It features stripes of alternating bobbles in blue and purple, separated by a rows of half double crochet in a classic medium grey. After finishing the baby blanket's body, the whole thing is wrapped in a single crochet border with even more bobbles! This pattern uses an I 5.5 mm hook and three four colors worsted weight yarn (I used Caron One Pound in Purple, Ultramarine, Robin's Egg, and Grey). It also features a video tutorial for the bobble border. "

Crochet Diamond Bobble Pattern

"I love using bobbles to create shapes and patterns, they look great using one color yarn or using multiple colors. They are also reversible and you can push them on either side of the pattern. How do you crochet the diamond bobble pattern? The diamond bobble stitch is a crochet pattern constructed with double crochet and bobble stitches evenly spaced out to form a seamless grid pattern of diagonal stripes. I did a tutorial on how to crochet the bobble stitch before, but today I will show you how to create a treble bobble and how to use it to create the diamond bobble pattern."

Blue Agate Granny Square Crochet Blanket

This blue agate crochet blanket was a joy to make. The process of crocheting each square, joining them, and adding a beautiful crochet border is so relaxing. This is the second granny square blanket of a 6 part series on a few easy, yet pretty crochet edges that can be added to the throws. I will have both written directions and video tutorials for each one. Enjoy creating your own beautiful blankets using this series. Square One Consists of four rounds of Deft Blue and two rounds of Charcoal. Square Two consists of four rounds of Light Blue and two rounds of Dusty Grey. Why Blue Agate Crochet Blanket? My dear mother-in-law grew up in Upper Michigan near the shores of Lake Superior. You can walk the beaches and find beautiful gem stones in the cold, clear water. The town she lived in used to be a booming mining town. We would go there and go Agate searching each summer. The crochet borders on this throw remind me of those beautiful gems.

This pattern also uses two versions of the v stitch to achieve a beautiful look and feel. This pattern is a four-row repeat to create the luxurious crochet pattern. Each row is starts with a Chainless starting stitch. For instance, use the Chainless Double Crochet rather than a Chain 3. Use the Chainless Single Crochet rather than a Chain 1.The foundational row uses the No Chain Double Crochet rather than a chain of stitches and row of double crochet. For your convenience, here is a video on the No Chain Double Crochet Stitch. Use Stitch Markers after each four-row repeat. This will help be able to tell what row pattern you are on when you pick your work back up. There are video tutorials to help with the entire crochet pattern."

This ripple (chevron) afghan is a classic and was created specifically for beginners. My grandmother (and many others, I'm sure!) created afghans like this and this pattern was created in remembrance of her. Wrap yourself in your very own ripple throw blanket with this easy, beginner friendly pattern. You will need to know how to single crochet, double crochet and change colors. You will also need to know how to "dc3tog" (double crochet three together. Yarn over, insert hook into next stitch, yarn over, pull through stitch. Yarn over, pull through two loops on hook- two loops on hook. Repeat two more times until four loops are on hook. Yarn over, pull through all four loops.) Yarn used in this pattern is Lion Brand Pound of Love in medium (4) weight. Pattern is easy to follow once started and works up quickly.
