Double Waffle Crochet Baby Blanket

I would like to share with you my latest creation - this little Double Waffle Crochet Baby Blanket. It turned out so soft and squishy with a beautiful spongy texture. I used the Double Waffle Crochet stitch and I love the texture it has created. I didn’t make any border around the blanket as I like it as it is. But I can imagine a simple border in white or even the same colour would look pretty cute too.. Materials used: light worsted weight yarn and 4.5mm crochet hook.

Jagged Scrap Yarn Afghan

Jagged Scrap Yarn Afghan

For this project you will need: HOOK: 5 mm hook or size H hook for the US YARN: All the scrap yarn colors were worsted weight yarn 4 ply US, 10 ply AU Also the Off white color I used in between as well. I was able to get 10 rows of Off white before I had to change to a new skein. I used 2 and a 1/2 skeins of it, but I didn’t make a border. If you wish to, then I would grab a third. I didn’t want to use much of this color because it's a scrap yarn afghan and don't want you to have to go get more yarn. About the color pattern Since this pattern uses scrap yarn, I won't be telling you which colors to use. I used this color wheel to help me organize my color choices. I've never been a fan of the mixed color of scrap yarn afghans so I decided to do mine in a more organized fashion starting with my Maroons, Reds, Oranges, Browns, Yellows, Golds, Greens, Blues, Purples, Pinks and back to the beginning of the color list. Feel free to go with what feels right to you. This Jagged Scrap yarn afghan is made using a stitch I discovered while playing around with yarn. I don't know why all my discovered stitches mostly use two stitches to create and this one is no different. Lol. But other than the butterfly stitch this one is surely the most easiest one to recreate! Let me take you step by step on how to make this stitch so you can use it in making your own scrap yarn afghan to use up some of your left over wool.

Beautiful Black And White Granny Square Blanket

This beautiful black and white granny square afghan is easy to crochet. It was made for my daughter. I made her a baby afghan many years ago. This will be the second afghan that I made for her. The granny square is one of the most easy and versatile crochet patterns around. It can be used to make crochet blankets, scarves, bags, tops, cardigans and a myriad of easy crochet patterns. You can add color and style to your wardrobe and home alike when you learn to crochet a granny square. This beautiful black and white granny square afghan is easy to crochet. This blanket consists of 5 different black and white designs. Making 4 of each square. When I started making this blanket, there was no end plan in mind. Once I got the hang of crocheting a granny square, I just started pairing the black and white in different styles. I love how they turned out.

Soft And Sweet Textured Velvet Crochet Blanket

"This soft and sweet textured velvet crochet blanket feels like it should be used in an expensive hotel SPA. Use modern crochet stitches paired with Bernat Baby Velvet yarn to crochet this luxurious throw. Soft and Squishy Afghan The combination of front post double crochet and back post double crochet paired with this silky yarn create a soft and squishy Afghan. When my daughter ran her hands across this blanket, she snuggled her face against the yarn. She said the fluffy and soft blanket was the plushest feeling one yet. We think it is because of the added texture created by the crochet stitches and the fluffy yarn. Pair this bulky yarn with the right stitch and you have a winner. The pattern is a two-row repeat consisting of a row of single crochet, which ads a bit of stability to the entire project. The next row uses a special stitch pattern alternating the front post double crochet and back post double crochet stitches."

Arcade Waffle Blanket Free Crochet Pattern

"The Arcade Waffle Crochet Blanket is a combination of two beautiful stitches. The raised texture of the waffle stitch is balanced by the stunning look of an arcade stitch border. A while ago I figured out how to turn the arcade stitch into a blanket border. I just loved how it looked, but sadly it required a complex stitch count and would not work on many blankets. You need a stitch count of 6+3 on each side for the blanket for the border to work."

Margot Baby Blanket Free Crochet Pattern

"With the Margot Baby Blanket i found a crochet stitch which is actually a filet crochet stitch pattern and then i integrated a border seamlessly so you just crochet the border on both sides of the blanket as you are crocheting along which automatically gives it a finish look, how easy is that! On the top and bottom of the blanket i didn’t put any border on as i actually quite liked it already and felt it didn’t need a border but you can add a border if you wish. This crochet blanket pattern is suitable for a beginner."
