"C2C Blanket is made in contrasting colours to create a geometric pattern. It assumes a basic C2C knowledge. Stitch information is provided plus a graph to follow for colour changes. The pattern is worked from the bottom right corner of the graph. Worsted weight acrylic is used for the blanket. The sample used a yarn specific to Spotlight, Australia but Caron Simply Soft is a good alternative. Approximately 312m/200g will give a similar size if gauge is met. Timeless Teal Chevron Blanket
There is something timeless and classic about a good chevron blanket. I have made my Timeless Teal Chevron Blanket so many times for baby showers that I could probably crochet one in my sleep. This blanket is honestly a huge hit no matter what colour I make it in. I have even made it in colours that I wasn't particularly drawn to and ended up loving it so much I kept it for my daugther. Using Bernat Blanket Stripes yarn, (my go-to blanket yarn) which is a super bulky, size 6 yarn, this blanket works up in a jiffy. I have made one in two evenings or about 6 to 8 hours.
Bubble Burst Blanket
The bubble burst blanket is great fun for children for both playtime and bedtime. It has rows of large bubbles to burst and the blanket border has smaller bubbles the also pop out. The large bubbles are made by making individual squares which are crocheted together during the project (no-sew). The smaller bubbles on the blanket border are made using the popcorn stitch (instructions included). You can make the blanket as small or as big as you like by simply adding or removing squares. Aran/worsted (weight 4) yarn. I used ‘Stylecraft Special Aran' in the following colours and approximate amounts: Red: 393m/430yd Yellow: 196m/215yd Pink: 196m/215yd Green: 196m/215yd Orange: 196m/215yd Purple: 196m/215yd Blue: 196m/215yd Total: 1568m/1720yd Supplies you will need: - Crochet hook 5mm - Sewing needle - Aran/worsted yarn - Scissors Recommend skill level is easy/intermediate. The pattern is written in USA terminology. You will need to know basic crochet stitches (sc, hdc, dc, tr) as well as the popcorn stitch. Instructions for the popcorn stitch are included. Basic C2c Chunky Afghan
"This crochet pattern is for a basic, chunky, beautifully textured corner to corner afghan. Worked in two strands of worsted weight yarn (or one strand of chunky weight yarn), this cozy afghan works up fairly quickly. My afghan is worked in a solid color, but you could use some Caron Cakes yarn (or similar) for an easy, colorful afghan, or change colors as you see fit. For my blanket, I used about 8.33 (1/3) Skeins of Hobby Lobby's I Love This Yarn in the Ivory colorway (two strands held together). In it's place, you could use one strand of chunky/bulky (#5) yarn. Take a gauge. If you don't mind a slight difference in measurements, gauge isn't essential. You could even go up a hook size, and use super bulky yarn for a larger blanket. This afghan took me just over 11 hours to work up."
Teal Waves Crochet Blanket
Teal blanket yarn works perfectly with this wave crochet pattern to create a peaceful, ocean vibe for this Teal Waves Crochet Blanket. Wave stitches can be fun to crochet, you just have to develop a rhythm of sorts to keep track of which stitch you're using. The upside is if you use the wrong stitch, it will quickly become very obvious when your waves don't line up! This Teal Waves Crochet Blanket is definitely one of my favorite afghan projects to date!
