The Citrus Twist Tote brings a fresh squeeze to the ever popular crochet cotton market bag! The Citrus Twist Tote is made with 4 bright colors of Red Heart Scrubby Smoothie that made me think of… well, citrus! But of course, there are 30 gorgeous solids and prints of Scrubby Smoothie to choose from - who want to whip up a Berry Smoothie version? Or something Beachy in cool blues? The Citrus Twist Tote features a two-row repeat that's easy to memorize and works up fast. I have included all the row instructions (rather than a general repeat) so you can cross them off as you go - time for some of that “easy summer living”, or at least easy summer crocheting!

TagsPerfect Day Market Tote
The Perfect Day Market Tote was inspired by all my trips to the local farmer’s market this season - the start to a perfect summer day! But you don't have to take it to the market - it's handy wherever you go. And it's a free crochet pattern on Moogly! This is a big, big market bag - but the clever thing about this pattern is that you can actually make it any size! Instructions for this is included. I made the Perfect Day Market Tote in three lovely neutral shades of Red Heart Scrubby Smoothie - it's the perfect yarn for this project! And it comes in tons of colors - so I can't wait to see which ones you choose for your Perfect Bag!
Sunshine Market Bag Free Crochet Pattern
"I have been having so much fun creating new bags and accessories using the Red Heart Scrubby Smoothie cotton I was recently gifted. It is really a durable and lovely category 4 fiber. I made this market tote bag - which quite easily serves as a beach bag as well. You can make the strap as long or short as you like. Since I go to the pool or beach more than the market, I opted for a longer strap to carry my towel and sundries. I hope you love this pattern and make yourself the perfect market / beach tote. "
Beachy Keen Tote Bag
When Mikey crocheted the Beachy Keen Cover Up, I thought it would be fun to crochet a matching tote bag. I used the same Bernat Maker Home Dec yarn in Aqua. My finished bag measures 12″ x 12″, not including the handles. I used 150 grams of the 250 gram ball, so there is plenty of extra if you'd like to make your tote bag bigger. If you are interested in a wider bag, then start with a longer chain keeping it odd, for an even number of beginning single crochets. If you would like a taller bag, then work more pattern rounds.
Capulin Cross Body Bag
Earlier this summer I got to spend some time in the southwest of the US, and that trip inspired the Capulin Cross Body Bag! The Capulin Cross Body Bag is made using the tapestry technique - you crochet over the unused yarn, and then switch colors (repeatedly) over the course of each round, creating images and shapes! A video tutorial is included for all the techniques used in this pattern. I hope you enjoy it!
