Of course, I also needed a background yarn - and Caron Simply Soft is the perfect yarn to combine with the Little Crafties! I chose white, but I think this blanket would be amazing with black or gray as the backdrop for the diamonds. Just switch out the black or gray diamonds with the white Little Crafties skein! Both written instructions and a graph are included. I tried to match the colors in the graph to the actual yarn colors and create a random-ish arrangement, but of course, you can rearrange these colors however you like!

I really enjoyed crocheting this textured baby blanket in pastel. This crochet pattern is a repeat of one row using single crochet and double crochet stitches. These pastel yarn colors just pop with this pattern. I used single crochet and two double crochet to create the puffy look. So easy to work this pattern. This blanket is just the right size for both a baby blanket and a lap afghan. Not too big that it drags on the floor, but large enough to take the chill off. Additionally, some folks like to feel the texture in a blanket and this is full of lots of nice squishy texture.
