C2c Valentine's Washcloth

I've had Valentine's on my brain lately. One of the things I wanted to make was a heart washcloth (could also be used as an afghan square). Went to Hobby Lobby, and found the perfect colors for it! As a washcloth, C2C can sometimes become saggy because of the spaces in the boxes, and by spaces, I really just mean like a slit from the beginning chain that all the stitches are worked onto. I use my washcloths either for decorative purposes, or just to dry things up – not to wash anything with because of this. To make a better washcloth, go down a hook size for tighter stitches and/or use half double crochets in place of double crochets.

Crunch Stitch Washcloths

Use this pattern for the Crunch Stitch Washcloths to learn a new stitch and create something useful for your home at the same time. These washcloths are beginner-friendly, and you have a choice to make them either in one color or using two colors. My favorite one is the pink and blue version because you can use leftover scrap yarn from bigger projects. The solid bumpy texture of the crunch stitch is perfect for these washcloths. They make beautiful gift sets paired with a handmade soap or body wash.

Easter Egg Granny Washcloth

The bright and cheerful colors of the Easter Egg Granny Washcloth are a fun way to perk up the kitchen or paired with a homemade bath fizz to add a special touch to an Easter basket. Easter crochet patterns are often all about the pastel colors, but the bold and happy colors of the Red Heart Scrubby Smoothie yarn are a joyful upgrade to the traditional colors. These quick and easy granny stitch cloths can be used as either dishcloths or washcloths. These Easter washcloths will put a smile on your face every time you see them.

Crochet Swiffer Pad

Most of us own a swiffer or something similar. I don’t own one now but I do have something from the dollar store that does the same exact thing! As I’m trying to be more eco-friendly in my purchases and what I use around my house, the idea of buying a pad just to throw away is not a-okay with moi. Plus I need a more cost-effective option besides spending $4.50 before tax for a box of 16 twice a month on dry pads. I feel like I could buy so much yarn with the $108 I would be saving by making them myself. As I’m looking for a solution, I grabbed my hook and yarn an went on creating. I mean what else was I gonna do besides crochet me a pad or 2?!? The design is best if you use a cotton or other plant-based fiber for it. Blends are also great options.
