Beaver Potholder

As long as they're not building a dam on someone's property, beavers are beloved animals and even the mascot of several schools. If you're a beaver lover, crochet a few of these potholders for your kitchen. You can also use them as hot pads to protect surfaces from hot pans. This easy crochet pattern is quick to make with a double strand of cotton worsted yarn. You may even have the right colors in your stash already. Use a single strand of yarn to make a smaller beaver as a coaster. Potholder measures approximately 8” wide x 6” tall (including ears). Gauge = 7 sc = 2”, 8 rows = 2" Materials: Cotton worsted weight yarn: 85 yards brown 12 yards tan 20 yards white 5 yards black Size J (6.0 mm) crochet hook Yarn needle

Ive included the C2C graph to this post for free. If you prefer written instructions along side a graph you can purchase my printable PDF from my Etsy or Ravelry store. Don't forget it's important to remember to do your gauge swatch before starting if you want your cushion to fit.

Blizzard Warning! Blanket

To begin with, these shades of winter will put you in mind of a winter whiteout, with its swirly and foggy appearance. Moreover, you can easily adapt the size of this blanket by joining squares to any size you like. While it's usually made in cool winter white and blue colors, you can achieve a very optimistic and joyful efect with the Scheepjes Riverwashed Stonewashed color pack.
