"Hello everyone, and Happy Halloween! This little cute trick-or-treating bag is my contribution to this year's Halloween season, albeit I was a little late posting it. Happy crocheting! and happy Halloween. Materials: Suggested yarn: Nako, Elit Baby in colors green and orange, one skein of each. Crochet hook, size US F (4.0 mm). Tapestry needle."

Apple Soap Cozy (or Small Gift Bag)

"This adorable little bag is perfect for pampering yourself, or gifting with a handmade bar of soap or facial scrubbies, a favor/candy pouch, or a small gift bag with a new pair of earrings. You'll need 58 yards of worsted weight yarn. I used WeCrochet Dishie for my bag. As a soap cozy, you want to use cotton yarn, but as a gift bag, you can use any yarn. I worked my soap cozy up in just over an hour."

Mushroom Tote Bag

However, you can also get a bit funky with these bags as well. Thus, here is one that's a bit playful, but certainly beautiful and fun to make. Moreover, the rounded bottom will stop little items from getting stuck in the corners.

Rainbow Striped Bag

"This beautiful bag is made with only slip stitch, chain and double crochet stitches. It is a bottom-up construction that begins at the base, then the walls are crocheted in simple stripes, and it is finished with a simple and stylish handle. I chose to use 7 rainbow-inspired colors for stripes but this bag would also be gorgeous in one color, or a different variation of stripes. It is a perfect project for beginners, using Be So Airy Yarn! "

Crochet Reusable Shopping Bag

"I hate plastic bags from the grocery store or other retail shops! I try my best to recycle and reuse, but they still drive me crazy. I have started carrying a bigger purse and if I make a small purchase, I just stuff it in there rather than take another bag."

Bucket Bag

Secondly, here is another drawstring bucket bag. This one, however, is done in a more elegant style that would not be out of place at an outing in the city.

Origami Bag

"This free crochet pattern is for an origami bag. This pattern is made from a folded rectangle using the thermal stitch and Brava worsted yarn from WeCrochet and includes a video tutorial for the stitch. This is a very beginner friendly design. No need for a sewn in lining because the Thermal Stitch creates a nice, tight fabric that's perfect for a crochet purse. The color combinations are endless - you could make one for each season!"

Pineapple Soap Cozy (or Small Gift Bag)

"I thought the criss crossed diamond stitch pattern was appropriate for the pattern/texture of a pineapple. This little bag is excellent for using as a soap cozy (gift a homemade soap with it!), candy/favor pouch (for a tropical party!) or as a gift bag (gift with some Summer themed earrings). You'll need about 70 yards of worsted weight yarn. I used Lily Sugar n Cream for my bag. If your bag will be a soap cozy, you want cotton yarn, but as a gift/favor bag, any yarn works. For reference, I had my bag ready in about an hour."
