Chunky Crochet Velvet Bobble Blanket

"This free chunky crochet velvet bobble blanket pattern is one of the softest blankets that I have made to date. It is lightweight and warm. Simply perfect to snuggle under in the cooler weather. If you have never tried using velvet yarn before, I urge you to give it a try. Once you get the feel of the yarn and start to learn what works and what does not with this yarn, it is a joy to work with."

Summer Garden Flower Baby Blanket

"The Summer Garden Flower Blanket is not an easy pattern, but the result is spectacular. A field of flowers in 3 different shades of pink surrounded by a border of green leaves. The blanket is made out of simple flower hexagons sewed together with the invisible seam technique. The blanket edging is made with the leaf stitch border. To avoid having too many ends to weave in, crochet over the magic ring end tail. Sew the hexagons in strips then sew the strips to each other."

Rainbow Ripple Blanket

"This fun, vibrant blanket features rainbow color stripes and gentle ripples. The triple crochet stitches make it work up super fast. It makes a great baby blanket, but is generously sized enough for a throw blanket. The pattern comes with written instructions, a chart, and a YouTube video tutorial to walk you through the first few rows! This pattern is easy to learn and remember, making for great, relaxing crochet time without worrying about double and triple checking a pattern. Once you've done a row or two, you'll have it down!"

Ruffle Baby Blanket Free Crochet Pattern

Today's free crochet pattern is this adorable ruffle baby blanket, oh my goodness this is the cutest thing ever and it is so easy to do! I have to be honest though those ruffles took a little longer than what i expected BUT it is still very quick to do.. I am clearly just impatient haha! The ruffle baby blanket is done by crocheting the base of the blanket which is just made up of double crochet stitches and then adding the ruffles which is super simple! All you need to know is how to work in the back loop of stitches on row 5 as when you do this you leave the front loop exposed and this is where you join your yarn to make the ruffle.

Hudson Baby Blanket

"If you get tired or frustrated with creating a blanket in rows and turning the whole things around, you're going to love this pattern. The Hudson blanket is just a bunch of different hexagons in different colors and they're each made separately. It's much faster and easier to whip up a stack of smaller shapes than to work on a large blanket. Once all the hexies were made, all I had to do was seam them all together. That step does take a bit longer, but it's an easy task to do and goes by quickly."

Sheep Granny Square Blanket

"A gorgeously textured and cute sheep squared circle. Worked in the round throughout the sheep face and body, then squared and the squares are sewn together at the end. Two patterns included - one for the sheep square and one for the squared circle. Mix and match for the perfect blanket! Easier than it looks - the sheep body is made with fuzzy yarn worked in unused front loops from the circle. No hunting stitches! Ears, legs and buttons for eyes are crocheted separately and sewn on at the end. Nose and mouth are embroidered creating a cute and whimsical lamb face. So many ways to use this square - make pillows, bags and so much more! "

Camden Christmas Crochet Blanket

"The Camden Christmas Crochet Blanket is a beautiful crochet afghan that doesn't have to be dedicated just to Christmas, but will be a gorgeous addition to your decor. It's beginner friendly. (So many Christmas blankets are geared toward more advanced crocheters.) It can be used all year, and it would look good in a variety of different yarn colors. It's made with Lion Brand Cobblestone Yarn which creates a blanket that's squishy but not too heavy or bulky."

Striped Baby Blanket

"Crochet a modern striped baby blanket using two strands of worsted weight yarn. This free crochet blanket pattern is perfect for beginners because it uses only double crochet stitches. The striped blanket works up quickly and is a little bit squishy, thanks to the double strands of yarn. I used a 10 mm crochet hook and about 720 yards each of Lion Brand Pound of Love "Denim" and "Oxford Grey." You could add tassels or a border to personalize the blanket. "
