Telegraph Shawl

Telegraph is a boomerang style shawl with a curved top edge and an asymmetrical point, as well as a sawtooth bottom/side edge. It's crocheted in two colors of fingering weight yarn - model used Haiku by Anzula, one skein each Freesia and Rosebud - and a 4.5mm hook. You could change up the colorwork to suit your tastes, or eliminate it altogether for a single colored shawl. Modify the size by adding or subtracting rows - once you get it set up it's a four row repeat!

The Vintage Lace Shawl

I originally designed this shawl for Simply Crochet magazine quite a number of years ago (way back for issue 8!) and am so pleased to share it with you now. It's effortlessly easy to wear and I love it so much I have a few in different colours! It consists of 5 lace panels in different sizes that are edged, then joined, followed by a delicate edging around the whole thing and then finally a big old fringe at each short end to finish. It sounds complicated but I promise it's much easier than it seems.

Mysteria Wrap Shawl

The Mysteria Wrap is soft, warm and feels luxurious. It is worked with a bigger hook so has a lighter, airy feel. The edging provides a little interest and looks so nice around the shoulders and I love the arched shape. Wear it as a shawl/wrap or scarf and if you'd like to make a button closure for it, follow my tutorial for the removable Button Toggle! Get the Button Toggle Closure tutorial on my website too. Approximately 18” x 60” Worked in worsted weigh yarn

Fortune's Crochet Shawlette

Fortune's Crochet Shawlette was inspired by the corner to corner stitch, aka the diagonal box stitch. This twist on the stitch creates a lacier, open, summer-ready stitch pattern. The result is gorgeous and just right for year round; bunch it up for warmth, or stretch it out for a light as air layer on the shoulders. If you want a bigger shawl, you could try a thicker yarn, or even use the same yarn and add more rows. Its super easy, and once you get started, itll fly off the hook!
