That's my favorite late Fall/ early Winter activity, especially when the weather outside is turning decidedly frightful. Let it snow, rain, or be windy, I'll be inside with my cup of cocoa and a good book.

This is the 2nd square for the Patchwork Mystery Crochet Along. This square is very unique. It is a 12” by 12” corner to corner square with a traditional cable pattern. The Arboretum Square is a fun colorful twelve inch Afghan square. It's perfect for blankets, car seat covers, bags, and wall hangings. It can be made in one color or up to sixteen colors. It looks just as good in Ombre colors as it would in Rainbow colors. It goes perfectly with the twelve inch Botanical Garden Square, but could also be paired with one of the five 6 inch afghan squares I also have on my blog.

A simple shamrock that you can use to make a large blanket, a purse, a wall hanging… it's up to you!

This month's square is more complicated than the last but in the end you have a fun rain cloud square you can make a few of and make a pillow cover, a bag, a table runner... whatever you can think of to turn this into if you don't want to make an afghan.

June’s square brings in all your favorite colors (maybe?) and reminds you that it's not a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow… it's a cup of delicious, delicious coffee. This is a fun square with a braided circle added at the end to represent the circle of life. Lots of lace and texture to make it interesting in combination with others or on its own for an afghan or bedspread, but if you aren’t feeling inspired for such a large project, try two of them together to make a throw pillow or line them for a really cool tote bag!! There is very little that's square about this unique square! It's made in 4 separate, half-circle pieces that are then joined with an edging and sewn together in the middle. It looks complicated, but the actual crochet is very easy. This square is shown here in 3 colors, but can be made all in 1 color, or in as many as 5 or even 6.
