"In 2014, my friend Tamara from Moogly Blog began hosting year long afghan crochet alongs. Over the coarse of each year, she shares 24, 12″ crochet square patterns designed by guest designers and then wraps up each afghan crochet along with instructions for a border. If you were to dedicate a couple hours of crochet time each month, by the end of the year you'll have a beautiful afghan! The Triple Textures 12″ Afghan Square was designed to be afghan block #4 in the 2020 Moogly Afghan CAL."

My very first afghan square design! I needed to design a 12" afghan square for a collaboration with another designer, but for the life of me I couldn't come up with a design. Then it hit me! Cables, I need to design a cabled afghan square to stay true to myself. That's when the Cabled Blooms afghan square was born. I love the solid version, but admit that the multi-colored version is great as well. The design includes a couple plains rounds of single crochet at the end that you can omit if you'd like.
English Garden Afghan Square
The English Garden Afghan Square is a crochet granny square that features rows of unique stitches and bright, vivid colors. This crochet square would make a perfect accent square in a crochet granny square afghan, and would look great in any color.
