Baby Bunny Comforter Crochet Pattern
If you're looking for a sweet and creative design, this crochet bunny blanket buddy pattern is perfect for you. If you're having a hard time picturing this sweet little project, let me paint you a picture. Think of a little baby wrapped in the second cutest thing you've ever seen. This little blanket is perfect to keep your baby warm and give them a friend to hug on. The bunny comforter crochet pattern is a mix of a stuffed animal and blanket in the way it's constructed. The squares of the blanket are worked in the lemon peel stitch. Then, they're each trimmed with a decorative picot edging. And at the top, connecting all the little squares, is a crocheted bunny head worked in single crochets.
Hug a Friend Square
Recently, many of my fellow Red Heart Joy Creators got together to make a beautiful afghan for our friend Allison from Red Heart Yarn. Each of us designed a 12" square and then we sent them off to a team member to join them. This lovely afghan was then given to Allison for a fun wedding gift! I love being a part of the Red Heart Yarns Joy Creators. One reason is because we all love to crochet, and this was one of our first group activities. The Hug a Friend Square is a fun and whimsical 12" square made using Chic Sheep Yarn in 3 colors. I hope you enjoy making it too, because this was one of my favorite blocks in my free pattern library.

Tried and True Beginner Blanket
I have been teaching beginners (read: novice/first time crocheters) to crochet for a couple of years. My favorite projects are any that include a super bulky yarn and a 15 mm hook. Why? These projects can be started and finished in one class and the beginner can leave with a hat on their head (or a cowl around their neck). I designed this blanket with the true beginner in mind. Maybe you took a class, or a friend taught you the single crochet. You’ve made a stack of hats, but you want more! This is the project for you. You will learn the four basic stitches and how to work in rows (working in rows is a beginner skill, but I don't like teaching it for a first time crocheter). I have added notes here and there to help guide you and give you an understanding on the basics of pattern-reading. I have also included a full photo tutorial for each stitch to help you along your way.
Hand Crochet Chunky Blanket
You may have heard of arm knitting, but have you heard of hand crochet? Learn how to crochet large scale with the Hand Crochet Chunky Blanket tutorial. This video tutorial teaches you the basics of hand crochet, and with the added information in this blog post, you will learn how to hand crochet an entire blanket. Hand crochet blanket patterns are magnificent because you can complete them in such a quick amount of time. These blankets make fantastic gifts because they have that handmade touch, but they don't take up days or weeks or your time. For a thoughtful gift to a loved one (or for yourself!), consider taking up hand crochet.
