Earlier this year I designed the Triple Textures 12″ Afghan Square for the Moogly 2020 crochet along. During the CAL, several crocheters asked if I could size grade the 12″ afghan square into a crochet blanket.

The crochet pattern uses the double crochet stitch throughout and works up rather quickly. It has a lovely drape and texture. This blanket was made using a cotton yarn, which makes this light. Yet, it provides just the right amount of coverage for summer or any time of the year. Throughout this crochet pattern, you will be working in the round in a circular motion. This pattern adds stitches that help increase the size, yet keep the blanket laying flat. This star blanket is crocheted in a chevron style. When making the points to the star, stitches are added. On the other hand, in making the valleys of the star, stitches are skipped.

This unique blanket combines self striping yarn cakes a creamy neutral color yarn to create pretty stripes. Combining the star stitch and half double crochet, this pattern keeps you interested and is easy to work up. The pattern includes a video tutorial for the star stitch which isn't a commonly known stitch. This blanket can be made in various sizes from baby to king sized. Use the crochet blanket chart in the pattern along with corresponding beginning chain count to find the size suitable for you!
Textured Bobble Throw

This throw is the ideal accessory to snuggle up under with a cup of tea and a book. It is a wonderful project to add that extra cosy factor to a new home. The throw is worked flat with bobbles on RS. Bobbles repeated every 2,4,6,8,12 and 24 stitches for the width of the throw constitute one section. Three sections in blue are followed by three sections in pink and three sections in blue. The throw has a border of one row of sc. Fringe in pink is added through each edge st along the width of the throw.
