Floral Blooms Hand Towel

Ever since designing the Gingerbread Man Towel, I've had many ask if I could design towels that hang the same way for year-round use. The Floral Blooms Hand Towel is the first in a fun, new series of crochet towels. The Floral Blooms Hand Towel makes the perfect gift for Mother's Day and other gift giving holidays! First, you'll begin by crocheting a base for the flower. Next, you'll create the petals on the flower. Lastly, you'll crochet the body of the towel.

French Press Cozy

Make your French Press Cozy to keep your coffee warm any time of the day. This French Press cozy is a versatile, green option for not only keeping your favourite beverage warm but also adding a little style and pop to your home decor. Make it from bright cheery colours or subtle earth tones. The choice is yours The French Press Cozy is created in as a flat rectangle using the double crochet stitch with some single crochet and chaining involved. It fastens, either with two buttons held together with chain loops, or with ties. I braided mine.

Ice Cream Cozy

This Ice Cream Cozy is a fan favorite. You can finally enjoy your ice cream right out of the pint carton without having to transfer the ice cream, or even sorbet, into a bowl. Furthermore, it keeps your hands warm which is due to having used bulky and velvet yarn. It is super soft, functional and cozy. In addition, the Ice Cream cozy has a handle such that you can wrap it around your hands and the ice cream won't fall. And did I mention it is easy as it only uses single crochet stitches?

Crochet Thick Potholder

The Thermal Stitch is by far the best stitch (that I know of) you can use to crochet a thick potholder. It's quite dense and thick - it's basically double the thickness of a normal single crochet. It's perfect for a potholder or anything that needs that extra thickness. When trying this stitch for the first time, the trickiest part is to find the right stitch that you need to crochet into. The whole pattern consists of Thermal Single Crochets (single crochets that are worked into the back loops of current and previous rows together). That's what creates the thickness.

Use your worsted weight cotton yarn to make this ribbed scrubby mitt, handy to use in the kitchen or bath. Makes a really nice gift - it's never too early to start on holiday making! Pattern is worked back and forth flat, and all single crochets are worked in the back loop only to give it a nice ribbed texture. You'll be making 4 pieces and constructing them as the pattern shows, but, no worries, there are pictures to help you along. Merry Making!
