Candy Corn Bear

Candy corn seems to be a seriously polarizing candy! Some of my friends love it while most of my family members can't stand it. Whether you love or hate candy corn, the confection is still a quintessential Halloween treat. I'm somewhat partial to candy corn in small quantities. I was inspired by these sugary morsels to create a tiny crocheted bear (with 0 grams of sugar and 0 calories!). You can make your own little bear with this crochet pattern and tutorial. This pattern is worked in an oval. You will be crocheting around both sides of the starting chain. The finished bear is about 1.75 x 1.5 inches. It works up super quickly with only a small amount of yarn. You can use it as a decoration by your candy bowl or make a bunch to give as Halloween party treats.

Koi Mermaid

From the designer: An amigurumi mermaid is such an elegant, beautiful character for your plushy collection, but a mermaid inspired by the koi fish makes for a crochet pattern that is as much fun to create as it is to behold. Koi fish are a majestic species of ornamental fish. They are a type of colorful carp from India, but they started being bred for their beauty in Niigata, Japan, and so they have a strong presence in Japanese culture and art. This Koi Mermaid pattern is very straightforward. If you have ever made a top-down doll, she won't give you much trouble. Her tail and elbows both have short rounds to add some bend in them both. Her tail bends in the middle so that she can sit on a shelf or she can sit with her tail bent up and have a little more character than your average flat mermaid. While Grace’s eyes are safety eyes, they have a lot of embroidery detail which is added to the head before they are installed to give it a more human feel.

Mini Crochet Witch - Zeena

Zeena, the mini crochet witch, is the newest member of our Kozu Palm Pals series of mini crochet dolls! At 4.5 inches tall, she works up really fast, is easy to make, and is oh so cute! Her hat and dress are removable, so she can be changed into any of the clothes from our other dolls, once Halloween is over. Or you could even sew the hat onto her head, attach at keychain ring, and you have a lovely backpack charm. We used DK yarn and a 2.5mm hook but any yarn and relevant hook combo will do.
