"Learn how to crochet an easy rosette flower in just minutes. Add this flower to your favorite stuffed animal, a crocheted wreath or even a handmade card. The pattern is written in U.S. crochet terms, complete with a full video tutorial to help you along the way. Easy Rosette Flower is crocheted in continuous spirals without joining the rounds. I suggest using a stitch marker or different color yarn to keep track of each round. Gauge is not particularly important, just be consistent with the tension you are using. And most importantly, have fun! "

Colorful flower door wreath table wreath - simple from scraps of yarn

"This is a quick and easy floral gift card holder that also works great as a tea bag pocket. It's worked in a small amount of yarn making it perfect for those scraps in your stash! You can also use it to gift many things like a couple Ghirardelli chocolate squares, a stick or two of biscotti, or even non-foodie gifts like a pair of earrings on a card or small floral picks. To make your own, you'll need 30 yards of worsted weight yarn - I used Knit Picks Dishie, but any worsted weight yarn will work (though acrylic may produce a slightly larger flower). For reference, this one took me just over 45 minutes to complete. It's worked in simple single crochets and double crochets so a great project for a confident beginner."

This adorable little bear by Sheila Houle could be both an applique, as well as a card holder. You can hide your Christmas card gifts in it and it could be used endless times, so it's eco friendly. Go for your favorite yarn and colors. As you can see on the pictures below, you can choose from two versions of hats for this cutie.
