Lemony Lime Citrus Square

Think of all the fun patterns you can create with this Lemony Lime Citrus Square. Using brightly colored worsted weight yarn, this free crochet afghan square pattern is perfect for summer, and would make a great summer granny square afghan. It's an advanced beginner crochet pattern, so just about anyone who's had a little experience with crochet patterns can work this up. It measures 12 inches by 12 inches when complete. This granny square would make an excellent pot holder for summer parties, or a nice crocheted afghan for a picnic in the park. The upside to granny square afghans is that you can work on them anywhere and them join them together at the end, making for a fully customizable afghan pattern.

Mitered Tulips Afghan Square

This beautiful square is worked in a crochet mitered method from corner to corner (without a need to decrease). The addition of little tulip-like flowers gives the square a lovely floral theme and a romantic look. Because of the mitered method, you can work this square to be as big as you'd like without making a long chain at the beginning. Stitches used in this pattern: double crochet, treble crochet, puff stitch, and working into the 3rd loop.

English Garden Afghan Square

The English Garden Afghan Square is a crochet granny square that features rows of unique stitches and bright, vivid colors. This crochet square would make a perfect accent square in a crochet granny square afghan, and would look great in any color.

From the Designer: "This square is gorgeous! It has a decidedly geometrically organized look, like a formal english garden and the color combinations just speak of the blooms in a garden. Of course you can make it in as many or few colors as you like since the square also has nice texture. Pair it with simple solid squares for a truly elegant throw.
